These are significant 'one off' pieces of individual work intended for presentation and display. They are often written on heavy textured papers, calfskin vellum or parchment and embellished and illuminated with illustrations and ornamental borders. Gilding with real gold and silver adds a special sumptuous quality to these documents.

By their very nature they are always bespoke and can be of any size, shape or colours preferred by the client, from a certificate or presentation in recognition of thanks to an individual, to an entire family tree or memorial document for an organisation.

There is an on-going need to update existing documents displayed in churches and other organisations, which require the matching of calligraphic styles to that of the original creator.
